Living A Maximized Life

Renew your mind, renew your life.

My pastor is continuing his awesome serious on living the maximized life. One component about maximized living is the ability to change your thought process!

“Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND” (Romans 12:2)

How do we renew our mind?

We renew our mind by staying in the word, and in the will of God.

As we walk with God daily, and study His word He gives us direction on how to change our thinking. Those who are really close to me knew about my former job! Not divulging details, but it was off the chain! I literally became a recluse. Like King Nebuchadnezzar, I lost my mind! I was a mess, depressed, stressed out, and couldn’t identify with who I was. I am strong in God, but I allowed my circumstances, and negative thinking to impact who I was in God! I was going to church every Sunday listening to the word, but couldn’t find a way to apply it to my situation. Even though I considered myself a “good” person, I still had issues I had to resolve in my life. My dating years were far from perfect, and I always wanted to know if “he” was the “one”. I created the elaborate list of what I wanted in a man. I also read several articles about finding a mate.  My list is what I stuck to and would not waiver.

I was looking for all of these characteristics in Mr. Right, but forgot about the total package in me!

“Seek ye first the Kingdom, and all other things will be added” (Matthew 6:33)

Destination Fertilization

Fertilization can teach us a lot about ourselves.

The more and more I learn about myself, the better I understand that it definitely takes ONE mighty man {of God} to get to the core of a woman’s being. Like an woman’s egg, everything that is vital to reproduction, is surrounded by this tough membrane that originates from the hardship of past relationships. Some hardships are even oftentimes self-induced. The pain of rejection, skewed self-perception, betrayal, lies, poor judgment–all of it has created this guard around that which is mostly responsible for producing a fruitful relationship {our hearts}.

We allow various individuals to enter in–some becoming emotionally promiscuous and others even sexually promiscuous–all for the sake of chasing after the love that we would give without regret–only to find it not being reciprocated. This process is not only damaging in many ways–emotionally, physically, spiritual, mentally {did I leave anything out, because if so–it damages that too}.
