Brother Preacher

Brother John hails from the coastal town of Brunswick, Georgia. He is a self proclaimed small town guy with a big city vision. After graduating high school, he attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia where he was a political science pre-law major, earning his Bachelor’s of Arts degree. He is proud to have graduated from an institution that has produced men who have changed the world. Upon graduating Morehouse, he attended Howard University School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate. A former prosecutor and staff attorney in the appellate court system, he is a licensed attorney who is a current member of the Michigan Bar Association. However, he is more proud of the fact that he is a member of the Kingdom of God and that he lives his life to glorify God. He currently attends Fuller Theological Seminary, where he is enrolled in the School of Theology pursuing a Master of Divinity degree. He lives by the adage: “Your lifestyle is the most effective sermon that you’ll ever preach.”

New site.  New perspective.  New issues.  New life.  This is what Brother Preacher John is all about.  He got the name from a friend who felt it was fitting for his personality type.  Although John was involved in ministry (i.e. he is a preacher), the friend also felt that he was a brother.  The person felt like she could talk to John about issues in life without the feeling that “Reverend” John would preach to her or look at her with a smug, pious look.  He was a brother first.  A brother who had his own issues in life.  A brother that was real with what was going on with him.  A brother who was transparent enough to admit that he felt pain.  A brother who was transparent enough to admit that he had questions that needed to be answered.  So this website is space that is dedicated to discuss the issues John experiences in life.  A life entails many issues of faith, the practice of law, hardships, trails, triumphs, and joys.  Welcome to his world.  Welcome to brotherpreacher.com.  Pull up a chair, have a seat, and kick back.  You’re in for a wild ride.
